With advancements in laser scanning technology, you no longer have the CMM or manual gauging limitations. With our portable hand-held 3D scanners, you can now bring the CMM to your assembly line or production cells eliminating size and weight limitations.
With point cloud processing software such as PolyWorks, we can utilize a 3D scan of your part to interrogate characteristics such as "true" position, surface profile, and many more that would've been deemed too difficult to capture accurately out on the shop floor.
The Right 3D scanners for The Right Job
3D Infotech's distinctive ability to automate such workflows can give you the competitive advantage you need to refine your manufacturing process and product while cutting down on time and cost associated with more traditional methods of inspection. These services can be offered onsite or can also be done in-house, depending on your needs.
Thanks to our broad range of 3D scanners, we can process a wide variety of parts, ranging from coin-size objects to an airplane or theater; one advantage we have is that we can scan most materials, even shiny or black.
Our 3D scanners have an accuracy of up to 0.012 mm (0.0004 in.) on small parts. We can scan objects with a volume of 150m (492 ft.) with accuracy as low as 0.278 (0.0109 in.)

Multi-piece and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Do you have batches of pieces to inspect?
As part of our 3D scanning services, we can consistently scan and analyze batches of pieces. By implementing Statistical Process Control (SPC), we can analyze these samples using four SPC control charts, Xbar, R, I, and MR, compliant with industry standards. Our robotic inspection systems outperform any manual scanning hence reducing time and costs.

The best engineers using the best technologies
Our engineers are not your average metrologist; they are high-level trainers and consultants with years of experience.
No matter the challenge of your project, our team will achieve the best result.

Applications for 3D Scanning

On-site and Off-site 3D Scanning
On-site

Our expert arrives to your facility

Recieve your files
Large parts or quick turn around?
We can send our expert engineers to your facility and perform the 3D scanning service there; the assigned engineer will take the necessary equipment to scan parts, machinery, or facility. Finally, our engineer can process the data on-site, or deliver later after further processing.
Off-site
The best equipment in one place
Excellent service and fast turn-around, you ship your part to us, we perform the 3D scanning, and then we send you the files and your part. We offer the off-site service for small, medium, and large parts of up to 1,000 lb. And we can process batches using our robotic inspection systems.
