Non-Contact
Structured-light that captures high resolution 3D images of objects without touching it.
Ideal for scanning objects that are fragile, delicate or difficult to access or move, such as delicate items, large molds, or parts requiring quick checks for maintenance. Faster, portable, and non-contact. Measure millions of points within seconds compared to several seconds for individual points, using a tactile CMM.
Laser & Probe: Rapid scanning of objects surface features including holes and slots.
3D scanning with high speed multi-laser scanners is a popular way to quickly scan objects with complex geometries or requiring surface and feature inspection. Ideal for inspection and reverse engineering applications in quality and product design. Optional probing accessories enable hybrid metrology to measure datum surfaces and holes more accurately.
Probing
Physical probe to touch specific, pre-programmed points on an object’s surface.
Suitable for scanning objects with simple geometry or requiring very tight tolerance. Accurate and precise measurements of datums, holes and deep pockets. Ideal for final inspection or prismatic shape reverse engineering using Point2CAD software.
Can switch between different sensors, such as tactile or laser probes.
Ideal for tactile measurements, but with the ability to adapt to different scanning scenarios. Flexible and versatile for scanning objects with diverse characteristics or requiring multiple measurements.
